Senior Companion Volunteer Program
The Senior Companion Program is a volunteer centered program that pairs individuals who are 55 and older with seniors who need caring support. Each Senior Companion Volunteer must visit two clients for 5 to 40 hours a week and most receive a modest, tax-free stipend that doesn’t affect Social Security, disability or similar payments. The rewards of this program are great with both the volunteer and the senior client benefiting in so many ways.
The Senior Companion Volunteer helps the client by:

Easing loneliness for their clients

Providing friendship

Assists clients in maintaining their independence

Helps clients remain in their own homes where they are usually the most comfortable and happy

Accident and liability insurance while on duty
