Congregate Meals

Isolation and loneliness are two serious problems confronting seniors today. The congregate (or group) meal program provides an opportunity for seniors to receive a nutritious, hot meal at the senior center. It also provides them with an opportunity to interact and socialize with other seniors.

Congregate meals are served at each center in a cafeteria or restaurant style setting as a lunch meal. Some centers also offer breakfast meals. Seniors 60 and over are eligible for congregate meals, and no senior is denied a meal. Meals may also be purchased by persons under 60 years of age according to the prices posted at each center. While seniors 60 and over are not charged for the meal, donations are requested to help defray the costs of this service.
