About Us

The Area Agency on Aging of West Central Arkansas is the premier provider of aging services to seniors in the area. We pride ourselves on being "the" Senior Specialists. The agency serves as a "one-stop shop" for all issues related to seniors and aging.

The year 2009 marks 30 years of service for the agency. Employing about 60 professional staff members, about 350 trained personal care aides, and another 100 trained volunteers, the agency helps seniors over a 10 county area surrounding Hot Springs, Arkansas. Within that area, the agency also provides 15 senior centers operated under contract by other non-profits.

With the complex system of programs and services for seniors available, seniors and their families are often perplexed and bewildered trying to sort it all out. Whether the problem is enrollment in a Medicare Part D program, how to obtain help in your home, Medicaid application, or help for a family caregiver, the Area Agency on Aging is here to help with these and other issues.
